Hi all

Does anyone know if there was ever any definitive advice either way re: ibruprofen type medicine when you have covid?

Im prescribed naproxen as I suffer from chronic sciatica. Having a really bad day with it but also on Day 3 of covid. Not feeling too bad all things considered, grotty but not bedbound or anything.

DH is telling me not to take it and can't get hold of gp but feeling ready to saw my leg off Hmm

I take it for the same reason. The Dr told me that while it might affect my reaction to covid not taking it would be much worse for me. Don't know if that helps, sorry

My GP actually prescribed it when I had ongoing chest inflammation with and after covid - when I asked him about it he said it seemed fine. This was in 2020 too - no adverse effects for me anyway. Worth checking with a pharmacist?

Checked with pharmacy and they said it was fine, thank you both Thanks

I believe there was no causal link proven between NSAIDs and coronavirus severity
