Different date on T&T text to that on app?

I tested positive on Sunday; registered the result, filled in Track&Trace & duly entered the result on the NHS Covid app.
However, the dates don't match - on the text/email message I got from T&T puts my day 10 as 25th Jan; whereas the app says it's 26th Jan.

Which should I go by? I am going to LTF testing over the next few days in the hope it comes back negative & I can leave isolation earlier, but if not can I finish on 25th or 26th?

The 25th. Messages from T and T are legally binding, the app isn’t.

I had the same this week. The app added a day on when i logged the result. Im goin by the test and trace info.
Although was on day 6 yesterday and still positive so not holding out much hope for 'early' release!

Day zero is the day your symptoms started or positive test if no symptoms, so count 10 days from then yourself, which will be accurate.

When I spoke to test and trace they couldn't tell me when my sons isolation ended, spoke to them on phone. I was given 'I think so' 'not sure'. They were confused because Ds had symptoms for a few days, 2 negative pcrs before a positive. They say to count from symptoms but he had two negative pcrs after symptoms started then gained new symptoms. They couldn't give me a clear answer so had to work it out myself. They never sent any confirmation of when his isolation ended. I just worked it out for myself! Often not fit for purpose. Similar to me, symptoms days before positive test!

No ones going to be monitoring what day you come out of isolation. You can leave after 5 or 7 with negative lft's anyway!

This happened to a family member. The T&T text went by when her symptoms started, the app seemed to go by the positive test result which was a day later.

Thank you! I'll go by the T&T text/email then.
