Could I get Covid again so soon?

I had Covid over Christmas.

Just had emergency with neighbour, went in the house to support and take care of kids while she went to hospital. Both kids have Covid. She was on her own and I didn’t think, can’t see what else we could have done anyway! It was an emergency.

Now I’m sat panicking. Could I catch Covid again so soon after having it? I’ve not had booster.

She’s still at hospital bless her, not sure what’s wrong yet.

If I do get it again I hope it’s a milder version next time! 😩

Well my husband caught it a second time after having it just last month. But he is asymptomatic

Possibly depending on which variant you had last time. My daughter has tested positive this week five weeks after having just. I hope your neighbour is ok they are lucky to have you to help.

It all depends if you had Delta the first time... Given Omicron had become dominant by Christmas that's unlikely, though not impossible as Delta still comprised a small proportion of infections.

Even if you did, is it a reason to panic for you given you appear to have recovered ok first time?...., and that would have needed to have been the more severe Delta for you to be at any real risk of the less severe Omicron.
