Are masks in case settings due / planned to be lifted at any point?

Very unlikely I would think.

Obviously it will happen at some point in the future but not any time soon, they are not even planning to review the no visitors policy at the moment in the trust I work for.

I believe I just read an announcement that care home bans for viitors will be lifted, or can this be overuled by the care home?

I would think they will be able to implement additional controls unilaterally.

I'd be very surprised if they lift mask mandates in care settings.

I work in care, we have always worn masks.
Yesterday we had a PCR come back positive for a resident.
Yesterday we began to wear visors again.

Been in care since March last year. I was told that before covid they didn't wear masks and they were looking forward to stop wearing them. I've since moved from the care home, working somewhere where there's about 70% usage.
