When to return DD to school. Positive LFT Saturday

Positive LFT on Saturday (tested due to symptoms). Followed up with PCR on Sunday and today she had a negative LFT. Today is day 5 from the positive LFT so presuming a negative test tomorrow can she return to school? No symptoms since Sunday. Confused by all the mixed messages especially as test and trace have messaged to self isolate for 10 days which is clearly out of date guidance

We’ve just had this so I looked into it carefully. Test day is day 0. So
Saturday - day 0, postitive lft
Sunday - day 1
Mon - day 2
Tues - day 3
Weds - day 4
Thurs - day 5 start doing LFTs
Fri - day 6

From thurs onwards, two negative LFTs in a row mean she can be released on the day of the second negative LFT.

Also, might be worth checking with school to see what their policy is? My DD went back on day 6 after two neg LFTs. Your should be fine tomorrow after a negative today, fingers crossed!

This is correct. If she has a negative LFT tomorrow she can go back to school tomorrow.

If she has a negative test tomorrow morning too, she can go out tomorrow. This is what I was hoping for, we're on the same time scales as you. DS has been completely asymptomatic throughout. This morning's lft is still very faintly positive, as it has been the whole time. Think we will be in for 10days at this rate 😩
