I normally monitor my BP, as it went up during the birth of my third and had to take pills for two months. I now manage it with diet and exercise. My bp when healthy now ranges from 111/69 to 120/80. However, this past week it has been 145/90-153/95. I read that it can go up when sick and also of course does not help that I feel anxious when sick and then also anxious when taking my BP bc I know it will be raised bc I am anxious about taking it and being sick. ARGH! The GP presribed beta blockers like 6 months ago for if I ever needed bc she knew I was anxious. I never had to take them...until two days ago when I panicked about my BP.

Anyone else monitoring their BP normally and notice a spike when sick? I have never been sick really the last couple years of monitoring my BP so this is new for me....I did notice I get a small spike once a month at the start of my period.

yep pretty commo hence why the obs by nurses involve BP readings!!! but I imagine you are recording your patterns so your GP can give you appropriate medical advice. highly recommend you look into mindfulness or other meditation techniques.

Not necessarily from covid
