Hi, for those of you who had a positive household contact within a week of getting your booster dose... Did you end up getting covid? And how bad was it?

I've read it takes 7 days for a significant antibody response from the booster and 2 weeks plus for the optimal response, just wondered how boostered people faired with exposure within a week...thanks!

Not a household contact but close contact for quite some time a week after my booster (caring for a family member) I didn't catch Covid.

Yes! My dd was confirmed positive within 3 days of my booster. I had very mild symptoms but never tested positive!

My daughter aged 20 had her booster and must have had contact with someone in the days around that time. She tested positive on Boxing day and had sore throat, cold symptoms and a bad back ache.

DH and I had the booster on the Tuesday night. DH tested positive the following Monday morning and then me a day after him so most likely he (or both of us together) were exposed a few days after booster.

We both had extremely mild symptoms. DH a bit of dodgy stomach and sore throat for a day. Me, literally a scratchy throat and a bit of a headache for a day and nothing else.
