The government and much of the media are saying CoVid is nearing its end in England and pushing the narrative it’s fine to shortly lift all current measures that are in place to reduce prevalence. Online though it’s clear not all scientists agree so I am sharing a Twitter thread by a virologist who critiques last week’s article in the BBC.
TLDR - he believes the virus will reach endemicity globally but not there yet. For England he supports continuation of masks for now, vaccination of under 12s and better ventilation.
