Booster impact

Hello all,

I would be grateful if someone could help me understand the impact of the booster. I am really anxious about getting it.

I had my first two vaccinations (second in July 2021). I then had covid in September. I am now due my booster. I have long covid and feel a general anxiety about getting the booster. I still struggle with fatigue and having been v tired and sore after the first two vaccinations I am worried about how I will manage post booster and preparing myself for what to expect. I am a lone parent and currently only just make it through a working day and organising my LO before going to bed at the same time as LO as I just don't feel well to sit up longer.

What additional protection does the booster give? Is it significantly more than having two vaccinations / covid? I have been googling to try and understand it but there seems no more certainty beyond get your booster as two alone does not suffice. I just wonder why, having had two vaccinations yet no booster as I am unprotected as someone who did not opt for any vaccines?

I know I need to get the booster, I am trying to decide if I should try and scedule it for a time I can ask a family member to travel up and support me incase I am unwell with it on top of long covid or if it is so urgent I should be getting it asap?
