What will contact tracers say to work?

A lady I work with tested positive for covid.

She gave our large workplace to contact tracers rather than individual people.

Does anyone know what happens with this?

Probably nothing at all. They're so busy and overwhelmed I wouldn't be surprised if they don't call a workplace switchboard. But who knows, if they do call it could be 'a case was reported in your building, be aware' or they might give the name of the department. I don't know if they'll name the actual individual because of GDPR. Has your colleague told her boss and the rest of you personally as well though?

It'll probably depend what work it is and how it's set up. Someone in our office tested positive after having been in the office and track and trace told them we didn't need to do anything as our desks are socially distanced. Work informed those who were in but they weren't required to and as far as I know, no one else from that day came down with it.

Thank you. I was a close contact on Thursday, but she didn’t name me specifically and just put in our work place. I assume this must be ok though and I’ll look out for any symptoms myself.

If you're double vaccinated you don't have to isolate, no, it's advised to do 7 days of lfts (if you can get hold of them) but not compulsory.

I’d be surprised if they contact you I’ve been a close contact more than once and never been contacted except the app and that was because I lived with the person. Like others say your vaccinated so you don’t need to isolate anyway .
