Lft-track and trace

My son tested positive with a lateral flow this eve after complaing of not feeling well and a bit of a sniffle. Ive checked online and apparently we don't have to do a PCR test now (in Wales) I've recorded the results with the nhs/direct gov. I'm not currently double jabbed and so will have to self isolate but won't be paid by my employee unless contacted by track and trace. My question is do track and trace contact close contacts after positive recorded results of a lateral flow? The information changes all the time. If track and trace don't contact me, am I able to still go into work? Thanks for any advice x

Yes I got an email from track and trace the day after we reported DS's positive LFT. I had to fill in details of everyone in household, and then got another email telling me I don't have to isolate (as I'm vaccinated) but should do a LFT everyday for 7 days.

In Wales, if you are not double jabbed, you still have to isolate for the full 10 days and take PCR tests on day 2 and day 8 of isolation. You cannot go to work.
