Colleague covid but neg LFT

A colleague has covid in her household.

She has been doing LFT daily and getting negatives.

Wednesday she felt ‘off’ but had a neg LFT. Thursday she came in with a headache, but had a negative LFT.

She doesn’t work Friday anyway.

Saturday she tested positive.

Was it wrong of her to come in on Thursday when she wasn’t 100% and had a headache?

She's following the guidance. What would you have liked her to do?

It's hard to tell isn't it. Headache was my first symptom but I actually got on the train to go to work before I decided to get off it and go home and do a PCR. It was positive.

Headache is now being reported as one of the early symptoms of omicron but it's still not a temperature/persistent cough. And it's winter so lots of coughs and colds doing the rounds.

The problem here is the official symptoms list is very out of date. And that's partly because there are so many symptoms now.

She followed the guidance and tested daily.

This is me! DD1 tested positive on Friday, I started to feel a bit ill on Tuesday, but went to bed early and felt a bit better the next day.

DD2 had tested positive on Wednesday morning before I went to work, so I conferred with someone who knows at work, he said as long as I was testing negative I should be there.

After this conversation I found out that DP had also tested positive that morning, so I had the conversation a second time, but no, me being there was fine. I felt ill enough (but only a cold, no covid symptoms) to have a snooze when I got home from work, but felt fine and stopped worrying on Thursday and assumed it must have missed me.

On Friday I tested positive. I was better by then!!!

I'm intrigued to know when I'll test negative and can leave isolation.
