Day 6 7 Negative Clarity

Son tested positive but is now showing as neg so could return to school next week. Day 8 will be Monday I assumed as long as he's neg tomorrow and Monday he can return.

Weve been advised by someone at the school that the day 6 7 rule doesn't apply to kids with only one jab, it's only fully jabbed.

I can't see this anywhere on the net. Does anyone know?

It applies to everyone not just adults. Yes, if he tests negative days 6 and 7, then he can go to school day 8. Your School may have different rules though.

It applies to anyone who is testing negative on the correct days

No mention here that it doesn’t apply to children. If he is asymptomatic & tests negative day 5 and then day 6 he’s ok to go to school. Are schools allowed to enforce isolation longer than government policy?

@NotDonna does that advise apply for people testing positive on or after Mon 17th? Not currently?
I've tested positive today and the info I have from nhs/track and trace says I need to isolate for 10 days still but can come out on day 7 if Ive had neg tests on day 6/7 and no temp.
No mention of 5 days.

@Justwingingit2005 I think he can come out on day 7 if he has tested negative on day 6 and 7, the tests need to be 24hrs apart.

It’ll be on or after Monday not if it’s before.
