Second jabs in schools

I've read that 12+ will be offered their second vaccine in school. Anyone know if this is likely to happen or if I should just look at vaccination centres. None anywhere near me seem to be offering them

My DC's school was the first in our town to offer 1st vaccinations to 12-15 year olds, but even they have no date yet for the 2nd ones.
Pretty much everyone has just gone to a walk in centre.

So I'd look at vaccination centres. We are finding more places are opening up to 12-15 year olds now the big push to get adults boosted has subsided, so keep looking!

I took mine in the holidays to a vaccination centre as soon as they were eligible x

My experience with the first vaccine was crap, immunisation team screwed up several times so I ended up taking my child to a walk in. I won't be holding my breath that they'll be coming back to school to do a second, although having said that the nearest I can find at the moment is about 20 miles away!

I just booked mine through the online booking. The roll out for first vaccines in school was chaos and more children got missed than actually received it. I took him myself so o knew it would actually be done.

I've had dates through for my dc school (feb 4th) and signed the consent form.

I think it depends on the area. The vaccination team are in my school next week. I would contact your school if you want to know.

Inastatus · 15/01/2022 11:17

Yes our school are offering dates for it next month.

Passthecake30 · 15/01/2022 11:20

Our schools are offering in March but we have been told the numbers of vaccines will fall short, and to attend a drop in if we can.

We had our consent forms through a couple of days ago, however we had a previous letter regarding the 2nd jabs quite a while ago.
