Do I have Covid?

Lateral flows are like this. Have been for about three days. Gradually getting stronger I think. Triple vaccinated, double Az single Pfizer. PCR returned negative. Have woken up feeling like something is sitting on my chest and all my perfume smells like alcohol or disinfectant. It's my child's birthday party today. Everyone else in the house is negative and no symptoms at all. DH thinks I must not have it because of the negative PCR....but, with l positive lateral flows and now I can't smell properly, my chest hurts and I have a horrible headache, I'm sure it's a given. I think DH thinks I'm being a tad dramatic and that I don't have Covid because everyone else in the house is negative and we are being told that omicron is crazy transmissible, but I think he just doesn't want me to miss our child's party today because he knows it meant a lot to me to see one of our kids actually have a party for the first time in two years.

According to the guidance, do I now take a PCR again? Do I just say yes I have it and isolate?

And you are VERY symptomatic on top of that.

Positive no question. When did you swab for the PCR? Presumably to have the results it will have been a few days ago when you may not have been positive but even without symptoms, that's a positive LFT. I know it's hard op but you really can't go to a party with some pretty strong evidence you have covid.

It might still be Delta, and yes, you do have covid. Symptoms plus a positive LFT. If you took a PCR now it would probably be a very different story.

You maybe tested too early with the pcr. But that looks positive to me, even ignoring the symptoms.

Yes if you check the instructions with the test kitvit will tell younthat any visible line is a positive result even ifvit is faint. If you do a test in a few days it will likely be bolder. Mine was.
