Would I count as a close contact?

My FIL tested positive today on an LFT, if his PCR comes back positive would I be called up as a close contact?
I saw them on Tuesday.

I don't think so as you haven't been in contact either him in the last 48 hours

Is he symptomatic? If so, when did his symptoms start?

No, but I think she's meant to take daily lateral flows (if within 48 hrs, which she isn't). Although I can't keep up with the rules so I definitely could be wrong!

My understanding is the previous 48 hours so I think you'll be fine.

You don’t have to isolate either way, presuming you’re vaxxed. Not even sure they call people anymore anyway, when I was a close contact last week I just got an email.

All the rules have changed ie., there are no rules. Even if the person you live with tests positive, you don’t have to isolate. just test every day.

I tested positive on Sunday, they were only interested in my contacts from the Friday.

If he's tested positive without the three named symptoms on an LFT, he isn't supposed to follow that up with a PCR.
