My ds tested positive for covid in December, developed a cough after the positive test and that was his only symptom.. he was well in himself which was great.
He has now developed a new cough and is full of a cold.
Question is do we test again as it was only last month? LFT looks negative.
Thank you in advance

I believe yes, because it's a new infection / could be a different strain.

I thought you weren’t allowed another PCR for 90 days?

The .gov.uk guidance is clear, you MUST test with a PCR for new symptoms.

BlackInk · 14/01/2022 18:45

The rules are that you should PCR with any new symptoms even within 90 days. It's LFTs that you shouldn't do within 90 days.

mamatro · 14/01/2022 19:49

Thank you! Looks like we will PCR. I think he's lost his sense of taste too now
