Tested positive on Tuesday so that my day 0 and Wednesday day 1 etc. Worked out that I could test first thing Mon/Tue am and get out on Tue if I was negative on those tests.

Now things are changing from Monday! Does that mean if I test sun/Mon I can get out on Monday? Or do I have to wait because I tested positive before the rule change comes in?

At this point as long as you've done the five full days by midnight Sunday, and test negative Sunday morning and Monday morning, I don't think anyone gives a stuff anymore.

I’m also confused about this. Symptoms started Tuesday…
0 - Tuesday
1 - Wednesday
2 - Thursday
3 - Friday
4 - Saturday
5 - Sunday

Test Sunday, then Monday morning and then out as soon as test results back, as Sunday was the full fifth day?

Ask yourself what would Boris do?

Is there a party you need to go to, then you can go anytime you like.
Is there another self inflicted scandal you want to avoid. Then you have to isolate for a long time.

@WaystarRoycoCEO, that's showing you the rules as they stand today (assuming you're in England). They don't change to out-on-day-6-if-negative until Monday.

Well, I just called my school to say by my calculations I could come back on Monday as that’s when the rules change and they told me to ring 119 to double check. The lady I spoke said that the rules are only changing for people who test positive from Monday and if you’re already positive you have to stick to the old rules. Which seems completely pointless provided I’ve had the 2 negative tests

I also tested positive on Tuesday. Legally I think I’m meant to test Monday and Tuesday and be out on Tuesday. If 2x negative. Last Tuesday counts as day 0 not day 1. So Monday is day 6, Tuesday day 7?

However I agree…what would Boris do? So I’m out for a nice bike ride tomorrow. 🚴🏻‍♀️ I don’t think anyone cares anymore. However I wouldn’t see anyone tomorrow.

But I do think that I may well go to the gym on Monday. Because if people the following day can get out on day 6 I don’t see why it’s not safe to do so a day earlier? Still day 6.
