Getting a bit worried

Hi,

I am on day 7 so going to take another test soon. I did test negative yesterday.

Is it normal to feel symptoms on and off? I felt all blocked up again and feeling like I am getting a fever just feel a bit hot today.

If self isolating period ends but still got symptoms what do I do?
I go back to work on Sunday.
I really can't afford anymore time off. I don't get sick pay.

Hopefully you will start to feel better by Sunday when you can come out of isolation as long as you don’t have a fever. Try and rest as much as possible.

You need to isolate until all your symptoms (except cough or loss smell/taste) have gone even if this takes you beyond the minimum official isolation period. This has always been the case.

This is a lie.

If you test negative on day 6 you can go about your business, if not after day 10. Even if you still have symptoms as the actual symptoms can continue for many months as the Long Covid obsessed like to point out.

Sorry, that should say day 6 & day 7

Op I felt pretty much okay for the first week of covid, then on day 8 after I'd tested negative on days 6/7 I started to feel worse again my chest was heavy, the following two days I got worse and I was diagnosed with pneumonia on the 13th day from first testing positive on a lateral flow. I've needed a heavy dose of antibiotics. If you still feel poorly after another day or two it might be worth a gp visit.

This is not correct.

The only symptom that will stop you coming out of isolation at day 7 is if you still have a temperature.
But you can stop isolating after 10 days as you are no longer infectious, regardless of ongoing symptoms.
As pp says people with long covid can have symptoms for months, but they are not infectious

Crazy after telling my manager feeling a lot better for Sunday but I can't not go work.
At least not self isolating but I guess still going to feel on and off for awhile.
