Dh's LFTs did not go positive until 4 days after positive PCR result.

Me, back in the days of delta. LFT all negative but PCR positive

Doublezzlister · 12/01/2022 15:27

I was testing daily as both DS were positive, all my lft were negative. I eventually had a positive pcr on Sunday, despite testing negative that morning on my lft.

I have had 5 negative lateral flows and only 1 positive (the positive one was taken in the middle. Very next day they all were negatvie again...so strange. But I confirmed it with a positive pcr, plus my kids have it so I knew it was covid, and the fever aches etc.

Yes and have heard of others too

Bagelsandbrie · 12/01/2022 15:48

I had a positive pcr last Monday, I did one as dh was testing positive on lfts and I felt rough. I only started to test positive on the lfts on the weekend…!

Yep, both me and DS last August.

Yes this is why for symptoms you pcr! Lft is for asymptomatic!

I honestly can't get my head around people not understanding this

Frequently don’t pick covid up, which is why if you have symptoms you need a PCR.

I’ve had covid three times, in my second bout got a positive LFT and PCR, and in my 3rd negative LFT but pos PCR

DH & I tested positive on LFT, mild symptoms which we suspected were a cold for him, migraine for me. DD (9) was negative. We sent for PCRs anyway for all 3 of us. All 3 were positive, after a few days DH & I had moderately bad symptoms - managed at home but several weeks on we are still needing frequent naps, coughing quite a bit, he's still coughing so much he's occasionally sick, I'm having joint pain, both have altered taste & smell. DD was entirely asymptomatic throughout.

I'm sat here reading this thread with tears in my eyes and a fucking Party Political Broadcast for the Conservatives comes on TV with Johnson telling us how 'they've' saved us all with 'their' vaccination effort.

Cunt.
