PCR Test didnt show up, what do I do?

Hello all posting here after aibu didnt get much of a response.

Im back from abroad, today is day 2 and my booked pcr test hasnt shown up yet. I checked the tracking no with Royal Mail and they claim it has been delivered, it has not. I even looked behind and in the bin and asked my neighbours. I just send an email to the test company as Royal Mail shirks all responsibility and says to contact the sender.

My question is what do I do? Is it ok to just self isolate for 10 days? Or?
Edit: I found something on the governments website, it says if your pcr test result is unclear you have to isolate for 10 days. Im thinking this is my situation now?

If you have any LFTs in the house I'd test using one of them.

Im sure I dont have it, as I had to test 48 hours before my flight into the country. It was 1 day before they changed the rules again, and now you dont need 2 tests. It was negative.
Anyways, this is more for official procedure. I dont want to get into trouble. So if I just self isolate is that fine? Or do I have to do anything else? I did book a test and have a reference number, it just didnt show up.

Don't think they've got the manpower to check up on you. Just do LFTs regularly and you'll be fine

When I looked a few weeks ago I found guidance or missing tests eing 14 days isolation (thankfully they turned up, 7 days in...)

I just called the NHS and now Im freaking out because he said if the test doesnt show up, I have to order one from them. Is that free? Or more money down the drain?
He didnt know what he was talking about, asked if Im jabed, yes, said I would need a day 8 test. As far as I know you dont need that when youre vaccinated?

No you don't need a day 8 test, that's for unvaccinated.

I dont know why you phoned them anyway. People returning from abroad only need to do an LFT just now so just do one yourself
