How long did it take you to get a negative LFT?

I’m on day 8 of Covid isolation. Had very mild symptoms that have been gone for days and still getting strong positives on LFTs.

DD (age 2 & completely asymptomatic) Is on day 4 and also getting strong positive LFTs.

How long did it take others to test negative? I’m desperate to get back out but obviously have to wait for negative tests!

DH did his day 6 and day 7 LFT's yesterday and today and they are negative which means he will be released from quarantine at midnight. He had a very clear positive LFT last Monday and a positive PCR on Wednesday. Symptoms from Monday to Friday with just a little tiredness over the weekend. Just seems quite variable.

You can still leave isolation after day 10 even if you were still showing positive. There's no point in you testing again as that would take you up to day 10 anyway

11 days, was positive on day 10. Tested on day 11 as was meeting people, but didn’t need to for isolation to end.

I had quite rough “mild” symptoms and was negative after 5 days. DP is on day 8 and still testing positive. His symptoms were milder.

Same for me. Today is day 7 and LFT is still positive. I can’t help feeling a bit despondent tbh!

My son was testing negative on day 4 - it’s all so hit and miss!
