I’ve trawled through Gov.uk and can’t find any guidance on whether you can take a 90 day break from testing after a positive LFD now you are not required to take a PCR if you are asymptomatic. Cant find any clear guidelines on this….????

You are still required to PCR if you are symptomatic, even within 90 days of a previous positive.

Oh yes I realise that but what if you are asymptomatic but a positive test is picked up on LFD. You no longer need to confirm pos result with PCR so do you still take the 90 day break from LFD testing?

I did see an interview with a GP this week who said that you should continue doing LFT after covid, the reason being that PCR tests do pick up old bits of virus whereas LFT tests are likely to be negative and if it shows positive, then it’s likely to be new infection. Hope that makes sense.
