Lack of PCR tests

Seems really strange, my son was asked to do a PCR test on Friday due to pupils in class having close contact with developing covid. Manage to get a test on Friday early evening. Could not book any later tests at the weekend as they had suddenly stopped doing covid tests.

Got the results back this morning, apparently the PCR was unreadable and said he needed a new PCR test. Just been online to book one and is says that they can't provide a new PCR test now. The wording really seems to imply that it seems suspicious that we are ordering another PCR test. I will just have to let school know tomorrow that we can't get another PCR test, not sure what else I can do. I know they were winding up the PCR tests.

Has anyone else had this problem ??

Did you choose the option that says it's to clarify a void result? I can't remember the wording.

Yes, I did. I double checked the original message to say my sons first test was void.

We had a message that implied we were booking them fraudulently. Hmm We have better things to do with our time. Called up and booked one over the phone.

AlistairCamel, yes that was the message I got. Did you find it easy giving them a call and booking a pcr over the phone ?
