I have it AGAIN

Just got my positive pcr back. Had Covid at the beginning of November. It was fairly nasty, I was in bed for 5 days and exhausted for another 10. I got my booster just after Xmas and now I fucking have it again.

All I have is a very mild head cold. Sneezing and headachy on and off, bit tired. Definitely something I'd normally work, exercise and carry on as normal with. Now DD will miss the first few days of school, maybe longer if she gets it herself. Absolutely fed up.

I'm sorry, OP! I hope your symptoms stay mild and you recover quickly.

From the timings and the symptoms it sounds like you had Delta and now have Omicron ( disclaimer-not a medical professional) Bad luck OP! Fingers crossed it stays mild. X

Yeah I presume that's the case. It's so frustrating! X

I feel for you.
Had delta in October and now it's a waiting game for the dc's to bring omicron home from school.
My boss won't be impressed when, and I think it is when rather than if, that happens.

You’re in good company as one assumes that Kier Starmer got both variants too. It’s seriously annoying for you!
Are you able to work from home or are you also down wages?

SmallestInTheClass · 08/01/2022 10:20

That's awful, I'm just getting over having it once so I feel for you. Does your DD have to miss school? If your in England she won't have to isolate unless she's positive too.

Thankfully I'm lucky enough (and well enough) to be able to work from home.

I'm in Scotland so she can't go in until the end of my isolation period. She's actually at her dad's was supposed to be coming home today but is just going to stay with him till Tuesday. No point her getting it and missing 10 days rather than 2. I'm missing her though

If you've only just got your positive PCR, wouldn't it fall under the new rules in Scotland?

"Triple vaccinated close contacts of those who test positive, both household and non-household, or those under the age of 18 and four months, do not need to isolate as long as they return a negative LFD test result each day for seven consecutive days, and remain fever free."
