Indoor sports matches etc like the darts which has just been on. 3000 people under one roof. Would you feel ok going to it as things are?

No not at all.

tappitytaptap · 06/01/2022 16:22

@CharlotteRose90

If everyone wore masks yes if not no. Going to a crowded event massless was how I caught covid so nope never again
Never again? You do realise people won't wear masks forever?!
Lifeisnteasy · 06/01/2022 16:24

Yes.

JuergenSchwarzwald · 06/01/2022 16:33

Not indoors. I went to the theatre in early November and wore a FFP2 mask and didn't catch covid (I don't think) but that was before Omicron.

I am not worried outdoors though and do parkrun and running races.

L0uby1 · 06/01/2022 16:37

Yes of course! Went to the cinema last night. Most people took their masks off when they sat down. Out for dinner tomorrow night, and away weekend after next. Also will be booking theatre soon, and dh is off to see some live music next week. Life is for living!

VikingOnTheFridge · 06/01/2022 16:40

Yep, theatre trip planned this Saturday.

Gingerlovesbiscuits · 06/01/2022 16:42

No. I work in a crowded classroom and have kids myself so wouldn’t want to add to my risk of exposure.

well, precisely, which is why it's quite a good idea to keep a mask on, no? Otherwise you might get stuck with Covid and have to stay inside and not... have fun.
Looneytune253 · 06/01/2022 16:44

It didn't feel as risky before Xmas but it defo does nowtbh. Seems like there are so so many people with Covid at the moment there's bound to be a significant amount of people positive in a large crowd

Bluebluemoon · 06/01/2022 16:45

Yes. Been to many packed indoor events and places over Christmas. I hope we continue with the no further restrictions plan.

I wear a mask if it's required but prefer going without.

Dghgcotcitc · 06/01/2022 16:45

Yes

Squiblet · 06/01/2022 16:47

No way. Haven't got anything indoor booked until July.

BogRollBOGOF · 06/01/2022 16:47

Yes, and the fewer masks the better because it's a bloody nightmare trying to navigate around people with a slither of unreadable face left on display. Plus at loud, busy places, I rely heavily on lipreading.

Just hoping my big, sweaty super-spreader event at the end of March goes ahead back as near normal as it's been 3 years as it was lost to the first weekend of lockdown in 2020.

Having recently had a Covid-cold two weeks after my booster, I should be as immune as I'll ever be for a while and it's long since time to bloody well live.
It's the masks, palaver over booking things and general uncertainty that's ruining life and has been for a long while.

Bluebluemoon · 06/01/2022 16:49

You have no way of knowing that. You may have caught it by touching something a person wearing a mask who had covid had touched.

You could've caught it even if everyone was wearing masks - they offer very little protection.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 06/01/2022 16:49

Yes. Not bothered about catching Covid. Had it already once, fairly mild.

WhoWants2Know · 06/01/2022 16:50

Nope. I work with very vulnerable people, so I tend to only go where I have to.

PainterMummy · 06/01/2022 16:50

Most certainly not.

KurtWilde · 06/01/2022 16:50

We've already been to theatre twice, cinema a few times, I've been to a couple of gigs, one sporting event, soft play centre (does that count?) packed out carol/nativity service.. tons of busy indoor events!

DynamiteFilledRadish · 06/01/2022 16:52

Yes no issue at all. Already have loads of times over christmas and new year.

TheLovelinessOfDemons · 06/01/2022 16:52

No but I have autism and don't like crowds anyway, plus I'd like to be able to visit my DS1 one day.

Yummayumma · 06/01/2022 16:54

Absolutely - I’m not going to be hiding under the bed shaking.

Porcupineintherough · 06/01/2022 16:58

No, I've not had omicron yet.

Inastatus · 06/01/2022 17:07

Yes absolutely. I’ve been in crowded pubs over Xmas, a big party NYE, the cinema and the theatre. I’m trying to live my life as normally as possible. I’ve had covid and am triple jabbed.

lljkk · 06/01/2022 17:09

I waited around in airports under one roof with many thousands (hundreds?) other people recently -- so answer must be yes. If there's some reason to be there, sure.

Tired of my life being put on hold.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 06/01/2022 17:10

Yes I'll be fine. I've been to Liverpool arena with about 20,000 others and to London theatre packed in with no masks on. I was fine. Didn't feel odd or nervous. Just felt, well, normal!
