How long did your booster side effects last?

Just that really.

I had my booster lunchtime Wednesday, I felt like shit overnight. I kept going between boiling hot, freezing cold and shivering. I had a headache, nausea and a dead arm and all my joints ached and any pressure points that were sinking into the mattress hurt. I barely slept and the night seemed to have last forever.

When I got up I took my temperature as I can't remember when I last felt this awful and it was 39.8. I took some paracetamol and went back to bed. After a few hours I felt slightly better and my temp was down to 38.2.

Now I'm feeling awful again and my temp has spiked again so I've taken some more paracetamol. Have totally lost my appetite which never happens.

Im meant to be in work tomorrow for a 9 hour shift and I honestly don't think I'll make it in if my symptoms don't ease overnight tonight.

I did a PCR and had results on Monday which were negative so pretty sure this is just booster related. That said, I'd much rather have this side effects than full blown covid but it sucks I'm feeling so rough, especially after I breezed through the first two (all 3 were Pfizer).

I had no side effects at all with my Pfizer booster (first AZ rough for a few days).

Maybe you should keep doing lat flows?

No side effects from booster. I would suggest checking you don't have a different virus, there's flu going around

I felt fairly rough for a day and woke up the next morning and felt completely fine. For that one day though I felt worse than I did when I had covid last week.

Good plan to be honest. There seems to be a load of bugs going around my youngest child's school so maybe I've picked something up from there

Zero side effects from booster, same as DH and everyone else we know. I reckon you've picked up a nasty cold or flu bug instead op. Bed rest and fluids!

Felt rough after my 2nd Moderna dose (body chills, aches, lethargy etc).

Had my Moderna booster yesterday and other than a dead arm up to this morning (still aches if lifting above shoulder height) and feeling a bit restless last night, I've been absolutely fine.

My DH had the booster at the same time and felt worse than I did. He was hot/cold, had a headache and wiped out. He seems okay today though.

Most people seem to improve after about 36hours. My moderna induced rash (upper arm) lasted about 10 days though.

I only had goose pimples with the Pfizer, but others I know who didn't have that were really Ill for two days. X
