When did my symptoms start

No judgement please. I am not in the UK and LFT are not available for the public to use at home.
I have been on a remote location holiday for the last 10 days with no access to testing facility. I had very achy muscles on the day we departed on holiday and then spent 4 days sleeping off fatigue and a very upset stomach.
Been home for a day and started feeling chesty. Went for a LFT and its positive.
Our isolation rules say 10 days from date of first symptoms. Were the achy muscles and stomach upset my first symptoms? Is it strange to develop the most common symptom ie cough and scratchy throat so far in?

Unlikely day 11 start coughing and scratchy throat as these are top symptoms. Sounds like bug when you went that you got over a week in then picked up covid.

I wouldn’t feel happy assuming today is day 11/12 and positive LTF is just one those things and no longer contagious. Vast majority have clear LTF by day 10 (sorry)

I hear you and feel the same.

This thing is so strange. Sent my DH for a test this am and he is negative, we have honestly not left each others side in two weeks and have been intimate.
We even vaccinated on the same day last year.

How is this possible???

Achy muscles and fatigue are very common symptoms amongst my friends who have it lately - before the cough and sore throat come along.
I know 2 people who have vomited with it lately too (not from coughing. Just fatigue and nausea)

I would err on the side of caution and go for the date you started coughing etc

It's possible because vaccines work better for some ppl than others, he obviously built up a strong immune response

Thanks all.
Do you think there is any benefit to testing again before 10 days is up?
Do you think its possible to have symptoms (or the remnants of) and be in the clear in the next day or so?
Obviously Im hoping for the best

I’d would do basic 5 days isolation then LTF from day 6-7 if it’s clear then your free. Some people get negative from day 4 but unlikely it have strong symptoms. How you feeling today? I wasn’t to bad till day 6 then was really rough for week

Im feeling much better than yesterday in terms of fatigue. Have a phlegmy cough and sore throat but Id imagine those dont go away in a hurry...

Im so convinced that I was exposed 2 weeks ago. Went to a party pre Xmas and there have been a few confirmed cases out of that event, yet here I am only displaying the common symptoms 2 weeks later.

PS Im not in the UK! Things just work a bit differently here.

Im going to retest on Saturday - 5 days from symptom onset and then again on Monday which will be 7 days.

Im so jumpy because I havent seen my family in two years because of this bloody pandemic and they arrive this weekend for 2 weeks and here I am testing positive for Covid... How ironic.
