How long did you test positive for??

I’m day 7 of positive lateral flow. I’m pretty much symptom free now. Yesterday my test had faded to almost nothing abs today it’s really strong again. Has anyone else had this? How long was it before you had a negative. I’m triple jabbed. TIA

Probably not what you want to hear, but I was day 16. I still had strong symptoms up until day 13 though so wasn't surprised I was still testing positive.

Nine days, no symptoms from about day four.

The advice is you can leave isolation at day 10 and not to continue testing after day 10

With the day 5-6 negative test rule, has anyone tested negative on day 5 and 6 and gone back to work?

Day 10 or 11 for me

DH was negative by day 5 but he never had any symptoms

As long as you are well and don’t have a temperature.

I had symptoms - recently, so likely to be Omicron. Triple jabbed. Strong positive on Day 10. Completely negative Day 11. I was really surprised there wasn’t even a hint of a positive...

I am currently day 5 and line still strong. Daughter day 7 and slightly lighter but still positive

Where I live, you can come out of isolation on day 5 without even taking a test. (There is a major shortage of tests- we’re not in the UK). I’m currently on day 4 and my symptoms are still in full swing, so no way will I be ready to go out tomorrow. It’s crazy

Day 9 I was negative, I still positive at days 6 and 7 so I waited until day 10 to come out of isolation. It worries me to think people will get to 5 days and think they’d be fine to come out of isolation. Hopefully they would still test to make sure, but I doubt everyone would.

The people I know who have had it recently were all still positive at day 10.

DS is day 5 and line stronger today than at the start, although it is a different brand of test.

Oh really?! Well how are they even thinking of suggesting this with (by the sounds of it) people still positive at day 10 plus.

My DS had it a few weeks ago, he’s 13. He was negative day 0 (we tested to go to see relatives), strong positive the next day (tested for an event), positive day 2, lighter by day 3 and negative by day 4. He had no symptoms whatsoever and none of us caught it from him despite not isolating in the house.

LFT first positive on day 3 of symptoms, first negative on day 7

DS15 has it at the moment, neg Sunday. Positive Tuesday after a slight headache. Still positive today, I doubt he will be negative for his day 6 and 7 to be honest even though he is absolutely fine in himself. 4 others in the house have not caught it from him as yet.

I’m day 8 since symptoms and still positive on LFT.

Should add I feel perfectly ok, only had symptoms for a few days, positive PCR a week ago at the beginning.

I spoke too soon, DS17 positive this morning. Other 3 still negative.
