DS had this on a LF today. He had a bit of a cough and general lethargy so took for a PCR already. We discounted the LF as negative but I just noticed this as I was about to throw away.

It's positive isn't it???

Yes it's positive. DS's looks like that, he's day 8 now, it was much stronger before today.

dementedpixie · 04/01/2022 21:47

Was it after the time limit?
Doesn't matter now if you went for a PCR

hamstersarse · 04/01/2022 21:47

Was it in the 30 minute window after the test?

indiesearcher · 04/01/2022 21:48

Unfortunately no idea when that faint line showed up. BUT I generally throw them all away at the end of a day and have never seen a faint positive like this one on any before.

I know it doesn't matter anyway but I was hoping and assuming it'd come back negative but at least now I'm prepared

I would say that’s a positive. When our family had it the lines did not go away after 30 mins and my line was even fainter than that at about 25 mins and I tested positive on pcr x

PurpleDaisies · 04/01/2022 21:56

Dh and I have both had lines like that after the time when I’ve been negative. You can’t really tell outside the time.

Hopefully his pcr will be quick.

optimistic40 · 04/01/2022 22:04

I had one like that a couple of months ago and a PCR a was negative. Weird.

indiesearcher · 04/01/2022 22:13

Argh fingers crossed then! Thanks all

If that only developed after 30 minutes you're supposed to ignore it.

Everly18 · 04/01/2022 22:19

When I tested my sons before when he wasn't feeling well I put the lft down and forgot about it, I looked maybe an hour later and it had a faint positive, I booked him in for a pcr test that day which came back positive the next day. I know they say disregard after 30 mins but it's best to be safe If your not sure if it came up before or after the 30 mins.

LifesTooShortYOLO · 04/01/2022 22:40

Hmmmm looks positive but you may be pleasantly surprised when PCR results come back

indiesearcher · 05/01/2022 11:43
