My DC's are back at school this week so as requested by the school and Scottish government they did LFT.
One of my DD's came back positive so have been trying all day to order home PCR tests but there are none available,
We cant walk to a walk in centre, literally 18 mile round trip, my DH is offshore so he can't take us in the car.
Totally pissed off that the 3 of us are now stuck inside with no way of knowing if she actually had covid or not.
Also because were in Scotland we're all stuck in for 10 days even if just one of us have it.
Sorry for the rant but surely the Scottish Government want us to test they should have the tests available to do so

You need to keep trying periodically for tests as they appear a few times a day.

I gather you don't drive?

dementedpixie · 04/01/2022 17:15

The PCRs come from the UK government website rather than from the Scottisn government so blame them

Nostrings457 · 04/01/2022 17:22

I had the same issue with no PCRs available yesterday; however at 6pm hundreds became available

ArthursSeat · 04/01/2022 17:22

Normally yes but waiting on an eye op so reliant on public transport when DP offshore. It's normally not that much of an issue until something like this happens.

Just keep checking - I checked for a drive through this morning and NONE available in my area - checked this afternoon and suddenly was awash with possible appointments.

@Nostrings457 & @TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross thank you, will keep refreshing the page after 6pm

Still none showing. Does anyone know when your isolation period starts in Scotland if you've had a positive lft but can't get a Pcr test.

dementedpixie · 04/01/2022 20:08

Starts from positive LFT if they didn't have symptoms beforehand. If they get symptoms while isolating they're supposed to restart the 10 days

ArthursSeat · 04/01/2022 20:19

Thank you @dementedpixie. We are only without transport temporarily but it's really bad for folk that have got no option but to rely on home Pcr tests when there's none available

@ArthursSeat home tests showing right now

ArthursSeat · 05/01/2022 13:31

Thank you, I managed to get them ordered at bang on 7am, they seemed to come available then
Now just waiting to see if Nicola changed our isolation period this afternoon
