Quick (thick) self isolation question

I can’t for the life of me work it out.

Positive lateral flow yesterday (3rd Jan). Didn’t have any symptoms, although they’ve come on overnight.

I’ve just done a PCR (4th Jan) and awaiting results.

If PCR is negative - can I come out isolation immediately?

If it’s positive, I need to isolate for 10 days from which day? The day I did the PCR (today)?

And I can come out of isolation on day 7 if I get negative lateral flows in days 6£7. Is that right?

Thanks in advance.

Yes. Your lateral flow counts as day zero but yes you can come out of isolation if PCR negative and yes to the day 6 and 7 thing. Its my day 6 tomorrow but I'm not going to test till Thursday as my daughter is a day behind so we won't be able to do anything until Saturday no matter what

I've just tested positive with symptoms, son also positive without symptoms his isolation starts from positive ltf but has to restart isolation if he develops symptoms during that time apparently
