I've had the symptoms of a cold for a few days. Neg LFTS and a Neg PCR. This test was negative earlier but now I see a line or I think I do.

You should only look at the test at the specified time.

I would take another to check

Wilkolampshade · 04/01/2022 11:31

I would take that as a positive were it within the time, but as it was not I might do a second ( supply permitting). Read that within time and then dispose of it.

In my experience a positive that appears after the 30 minutes was a very early positive.

When I've had negative LFTs before they've always stayed negative, permanently. Same with DH and dc's, dozens of examples.

I've just recently tested positive. My first LFT after minor symptoms was a clear negative at 30 minutes. However I forgot to throw it and when checking again a couple of hours later there was a very faint line, more just a watermark, but one I've never seen before. The next day I had a clearer faint positive and a few hours later my LFTs were glowing.

When my DS tested positive his LFT was negative at 30 mins and a v faint positive after about 45 mins. Very positive the next day! I would consider yours to be positive.

JanglyBeads · 04/01/2022 12:09

I agree with PPs saying it'll be a positive - including the excellently named 😊@ChristmasMouseInHouse!

Book a PCR

friedeggandsauce · 04/01/2022 12:12

We've had loads of tests recently that by the end of the day have had a positive line but they were all negative as they didn't come in the 30mins.

emmathedilemma · 04/01/2022 12:15

Do another and swab your tonsils as well as nose (even if it only says nose), I read something that said Omicron bugs take longer to hit your nose so people with symptoms are testing negative for several days before getting a positive.

EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall · 04/01/2022 12:15

Mine was like that yesterday. Today its a definite line

historyrocks · 04/01/2022 15:21

We’ve had some that showed a line the next day—nobody tested positive on the PCRs.
