Pfizer booster symptoms

Hi,

I had my Pfizer booster yesterday (first two doses were Pfizer too) omg I feel terrible.

My arm is killing but I expected that, ive been awake from midnight with a fever, shivering and aching all over and now a headache.

I've took painkillers as I'm in work, I genuinely didn't expect to feel so unwell as I had no symptoms with my first two doses.

Anyone else experience this? If anything touches my skin it literally aches and makes me cringe Sad

I felt like shite after it, for two nights running. Just as you describe with the chills and fever.

I now have covid, and whilst I feel rough, it's not as bad as the reaction to the booster was!

BellaChagall · 04/01/2022 08:22

I had no side effects at all, neither did my DH or most people I know.

ScarlettDarling · 04/01/2022 08:25

Yes I felt grim after my booster. I had it on a Saturday morning and was awake the whole Saturday night feeling ill. By the Sunday I felt lots better, just tired from not sleeping. Hope you feel better soon.

I should NOT have read this on my way to a covid booster jab that I don’t really want but feel forced in to getting because I don’t trust the government not to change things so that you need 3 jabs to get a vaccine passport to do anything and to do it at short notice! Sad

I had Az first 2
Pfizer booster.. my bones ached. I felt like i had a virus took.almost a week to feel better

maa32 · 04/01/2022 08:42

@Nosquit if you don't want it, don't get it.

I feel grateful to have it, I wanted it. I'm also lucky to never have had covid.

I just didn't expect to feel so shite to be honest!

I had my booster yesterday and so far no side effects.

Nosquit · 04/01/2022 08:58

@maa32 Unfortunately I have a slew of mental health probs and if I don’t get it I’ll only panic about the ‘what ifs’ of not getting it!
I wanted my first 2, but the booster has got me really panicked for some reason.
But it’s booked now and in 20 minutes it will have been got.

I had Pfizer for first two jabs and booster and had no side effects at all from the booster. Barely even a sore arm. Same for DH.

Good luck Nosquit

I had Moderna for doses 1 & 2, I felt very unwell with flu-like symptoms for 48 hours afterwards.

I had the Pfizer booster, apart from slight body ache and tiredness, I felt absolutely fine.

rmummyofone · 04/01/2022 09:47

Had Pfizer for all 3 too.
First shot I felt like death exactly the same as yours. Had my shot around 11am by 3am that night I was shivering etc too.
Second shot I moved my arm a lot after it so it wouldn't be as sore and got it around 4pm. Assuming I slept through the worst of it and took painkillers before I slept that night. Still similar side effects but not as bad as the first.
3rd shot I felt fine just a bit sleepy when I came home after the jab. But otherwise fully myself. Arm didn't hurt as much too. Had lots of almonds that day lol if that's made any difference haha

DH had no symptoms with both shots and is due his booster soon. We both had covid in September 2020 but had opposite reactions to covid. I felt absolutely fine almost like I didn't have the virus at all, just lost my smell and taste. Wear-as he felt terrible! Lol
