Im so out of date now with everything so maybe some advice please-

my husband caught covid from me! a few weeks back he came out of isolation on the 16th,
the symptoms he had then was just no smell and the general feeling of run down so all went back to normal.

His now developed an awful cough his had it for about 8 days now. It started when he was on a course of antibiotics for an ear infection . His done laterals for the last 5 days all negative.Im so confused what to do as we was told you can test positive up to 90 days

I believe if you get new symptoms you are meant to get a PCR.

So he tested positive, came out of isolation but a week later developed a terrible cough ? He should have stayed isolating, surely, as he hadn’t recovered? He may have a secondary infection, I would call your GP and see if he can get seen.

Covid rumbles on - I was definitely having different symptoms 2 weeks after my PCR positive. I didn't cough until I was out of isolation for example, and still get random bursts of breathlessness. I assumed they were all just the first covid. I had negative LFTs from day 10.

Well you think that but the guidance from 119 told us that as long as he has no temperature which he never did he was legally ok to go back to work. Work also confirmed this ect

We are also part of an ONS survey(you get vouchers in exchange for tests from us every month ). They came last Monday a week today the results came through for that yesterday also negative so technically his already had a pcr ......... and this is why I'm confused . Im seriously panicking his got like a blod clot or something

I think he does need to see a doc about his chest, if he has a secondary infection then he could need antibiotics.
Hope he is better soon, sounds really nasty, he must be worn out.

Dp had very mild covid then developed a cough when he come out of isolation. Thankfully wasn't too bad for Dp, it was more of a tickly throat than anything on his chest. It sounds like your dh may need to see a doctor to rule anything out like a secondary infection.

I wouldn't test again. If the cough started just days after covid.
