Hi op, I had my first dose in Feb and my second in May. I had Astra Zeneca.

I had my booster booked for December but for covid so had to reschedule for this month.

My covid was very very mild. Like a head cold really. Worse symptom was sinus pain which isn't Unusual for me as I have sinus pains and it flares up without a virus sometimes. I didn't feel particularly ill, no fever or anything. Just cold symptoms and sinus pain/headache. No breathing or chest issues.

Pressed post too soon. I was worried I'd get really ill as it was a long gap between second dose and covid but I was fine. I'm overweight too!

You have 51% less chance than an unvaccinated person of going to hospital with Omicron, 85% less with Delta.

I had my last AZ June 19th. Was due a booster mid Dec but got omicron the day before.

My main symptom was fatigue. No cough or fever. I recovered after about 7 days.

My boostered friends fared a bit better and recovered within a few days.

So I think although you’re not protected against symptomatic disease as well. You are protected against serious disease and hospitalisation. Most people I know (at least 25) have had mild symptoms with the latest variant with two jabs.
