Gastric problems post covid

I didn't have any gastro symptoms when I had covid. But about day 15 I got another low grade fever, aching limbs and abdo pain. I'm wondering if this is a separate issue to covid or if its a longer term issue people have had. 2 weeks on and I'm still having gastric pain.

Dc1 had griping tummy pains with covid and they lasted a week or so afterwards. Come to think of it, they had similar pains a day or so after their vaccine.

My 14yo old ds has had lots of problems. He vomited a couple of times when he had Covid and since then he’s had bad diarrhoea which has kept him off school quite a bit. I think finally it’s calming down 3 months post Covid, would be interesting to hear other stories

Thanks for replies. I can't work out if I caught another bug straight after covid or if it's all tied in - as during my 10 days of covid isolating my tummy was fine. I've heard a lot more accounts of gastric symptoms for kids than adults.

Hi all, I know this is an older post but I had covid in March 2022 and still not right in terms of my tummy. Symptoms have come and gone for a while but last week lost appetite again due to heartburn and doctor has prescribed omezaprole which is helping me eat again. Just wondering if anyone had similar symptoms post covid? I’m nearly 8 weeks post covid but tummy is just not right yet. Thanks

I have this too - and have just posted on an older thread so sorry for duplication. I tested Postitive on Tuesday, on Friday, started to feel sharp pain in middle of my stomach two inches beneath my belly button, shooting pain to the tops of my legs, and more poo.
I normally have a cast-iron stomach, so this is really odd for me, and has imediately made me worry I have IBS, Crones, or bowel cancer 😮.
I'd be very relieved to hear that it's 'just' covid and how long is lasts? Also if any foods exacerbate it?
