My DD is 14 and scheduled to have 2nd vaccination in Jan. She has just tested positive and awaiting PCR confirmation, and I’m not sure when she can have her second dose now - is it recommended to do it at a least 4 weeks later or 12 ?

Also, we’re travelling to Italy in July and my Ds will turn 12 a week before. Aged 11 he’d be ok with vaccinated parents, but are we (as things stand) ‘stuffed’ as he won’t be vaccinated !? Or subject to quarantine even though he hasn’t had cha ce to get vaccinated ?

Definitely 12 weeks for under 16s I'm afraid, not sure about Italy.

I think it's too early to know about regulations in Italy in July for foreign travellers tbh, but be aware that Italy is now vaccinating its own 5-11 year olds and (at the moment) many places have moved to "super" green pass requirements as of today- which is fully (2 or 3 dose within the time limits) vaccinated or a Covid recovery certificate.
In the coming weeks, with cases rising, those restrictions will only be tightened, and will presumably be applied to tourists too.
But July? Nobody can tell. Last summer was pretty normal in Italy, and with some of the highest Vax rates and toughest restrictions to get through the winter, will probably be even more so this year.

Wait and see, as always! Thank you

Unless the recently recovered status is valid for the pass (this Would only help my DD with an earlier trip though, not the younger one)
