Periods and covid

Has anyone period been effected by getting covid ? If they stopped did they come back?

Yes me. Periods were really odd (delayed and I was always super regular) after first infection. Never truly got back to normal, the illness seemed to catapult me into peri menopause - but then I was 48 and had been seriously ill so not sure how applicable that might be to you.

Thank you for replying for me personally I would love to never have a period again Grin

But it would be awful if it happens to woman who are still wanting children Sad

Yes, both times it has possibly affected my period. I say possibly because there are other facts I play.

First covid infection: I had three month long period. It was my second period after giving birth and breastfeeding. After second round of medication prescribed by gp it finally stopped. I have hypothyroidism, but I take medication for it.

Second covid infection, few weeks ago. I had random three day spotting last week. My period is due this week. I am still breastfeeding but not as much as last time.
