When was this. It might be worth doing a other pcr in a couple of days?

PurpleDaisies · 01/01/2022 14:15

I’m confused by your post.

You had a positive lft and symptoms? You need a pcr.

PurpleDaisies · 01/01/2022 14:17

Sorry, I’ve misread positive lft and negative lft not pcr.
I’d be assuming the pcr was wrong and isolating.

CagneyNYPD1 · 01/01/2022 14:17

Yep, I'd do another PCR.

Lulu1919 · 01/01/2022 15:33

I'm isolating ..but yes I'll get another one Monday

I would carry on doing daily lfts and wouldn't do a PCR unless I got a positive one or developed symptoms.

If isolating is a hassle rather than a massive problem, I'd just assume Covid and isolate to be honest, taking day 0 as the day you remember the fatigue first showing itself, or the day of the positive LFT, whichever is the earlier. Legally (as far as I know) you can go out and about, as you have had a negative PCR. You are not showing any of the government approved symptoms, but fatigue is a major symptom of the Omicron variant. So in all fairness to everyone (taking into account the test shortage) isolation is the best option, and hold off the LFTs until at least days 6&7 to see if you get negatives and can stop isolating.
