What is this if not Covid

Long story
DCS had mild colds on 17-12-21, tested us all (LFT) negative. I LFT'd every day but didn't feel ill until 23-12-21 when I isolated and had a pcr test. Pcr test was negative on 25-12-21 but I've felt poorly since.
Went into work today and was sent because I was sniffing and had a slight cough.
All lateral flows have been negative and I've used two types. Worried to keep on using them as they're in short supply and I need to do them three times a week.
Do I now do another PCR? Or is it just a bad cold? It's been well over a week and I still have headaches, snot (so much snot!) and feel a bit shivery. No sense of smell or taste. Could it be Covid with all the negative tests?

We’ve had so many negative ltf’s from different batches and PCRs.

The snot in the sinuses is the worst. As you say we all feel a bit shivery and sniffy and have a cough. Other than that there’s no headache, fever aches and pains. Oh a croaky voice comes and goes occasionally.

I think it is because we were locked down so much last winter we have forgotten what a real cold is like.

This! I have it at the moment. LF and PCR both negative. I was weirdly annoyed they we're negative - I felt the tests failed to acknowledge the severity of my illness. 😆

A bloody cold! Why has everyone forgotten what a nasty cold is like?! 😫 you’ve had multiple negative tests. It’s a cold 🤦🏼‍♀️

I'm the same, but really chesty cough. Quite miffed at negative PCR!

@Bobholll I agree but the problem is the change in attitude to you having a cold. Being sent home from work is awful but if I had a positive test I would feel less guilty!

Know what you mean I have had such a sore throat and a cough but have done 5 negative lft tests - panicking as have been spending lots of time with a friend who is pregnant with a longed for baby and I’m cev so need to get on the antivirals asap if I’m positive

A colleague of mine had tested negative on LFD after her husband tested positive. She did a PCR and was positive. She did a lateral flow the day after and she was negative on that. She only has a mild sore throat.

Well after spending nye with my pregnant friend after the 5 negative lfts the one I took this morning before going to a family lunch was positive
