Just that really. Have just seen someone on Instagram with it for the third time 😱

I think DS may have had it in the Feb half term before it all kicked off and no testing. Then he had it this September officially.

My DS has had it twice, 11 months apart

FellaItzgerald · 30/12/2021 23:49

I've been unlucky enough to have it twice. Both times I thought I was dying but particularly the first when I didn't know what it was (before Christmas 2019).

FellaItzgerald · 30/12/2021 23:50

Am twice vaccinated btw.

Hopefully the booster will prevent me getting it as bad again.

sparklingwaterforme · 30/12/2021 23:52

Yes me I have today tested positive literally 3 months to the day that I did before 😩 not sure how as I am so careful and I know no one else that has it!!

How did you find out it was @FellaItzgerald back in 2019? My DH thinks he had it Jan 2020 and finds it frustrating that he'll never know!

sofakingcool the recent illness (confirmed by PCR) was exactly the same as the one I had two years ago.

In December 2919 I remember feeling more ill than I'd ever felt in my life (in bed for days, not eating for a week, not being able to shower/hair wash for a week).
Pain, difficulty breathing, incessant cough.

When we began hearing about it and symptoms were published I was convinced I'd had it but had no proof.

Recently I'd been doing LFT's every other day and in November this year tested positive. PCR confirmed it.
All of my symptoms were the same and I felt every bit as ill as if I'd had no jabs.
Actually reading back I think the coughing was worse two years ago, So the vaccine did something.

I suppose if nothing else it's confirmed my suspicions. It was here long before the beginning of 2020.

I had a very Covidy infection in December 2019 too. Started getting ill 19th December. Had been in South West UK. Then flew to Japan a few days later and got iller and iller and was horrible for more than a week. Had a big family lunch on 20th and everyone else didn't get it. I don't think it was covid though as I had an antibody test in June 2020 and didn't have any old onres.

Myself and my DS have it for the 2nd time. Probably DD too but no tests outside of hospital in April 20 and she had no symptoms.

This time round it has hit the DC much worse.

Angrymum22 · 31/12/2021 00:24

I had it Feb 2020, not confirmed but the dry cough was like nothing I’ve ever had before and then I lost my sense of smell for 3 mnths. I have to admit I didn’t feel particularly I’ll at the time just very tired due to coughing. I worked throughout because it wasn’t supposed to have entered the community at that point.
Second dose Sept 2021 exactly the same but no cough and symptoms were very short lived. I am triple vaccinated so hoping if I get omicron it will be no more than a sniffle.

FellaItzgerald · 31/12/2021 00:26

Lessofallthisunpleasantness I'd been in the south west of the UK too! I don't live there.

Changechangychange · 31/12/2021 01:24

Not me, but lots of my patients are getting for a second time now (after having it either last winter, or April 2020). Vaccinated too.

Luckily all basically asymptomatic - I haven’t seen anybody get it twice who got sick the second time.

TerraNovaTwo · 31/12/2021 01:26

3 times. Twice officially tested. First had it in Feb 2020
