Day 3/4 of omicron here, isolating alone. Aches, pains, fever being managed fairly well with paracetamol but I still feel too ill to get up from bed/sofa. I’m never ill so all this time on my hands is a novelty. I don’t nap.

Did my T&T admin today. Tried to do a crossword but brain too foggy. Otherwise, msging friends, MNing, reading news on my phone, bit of Bob Mortimer’s autobiography, watched Don’t Look Up on Netflix, and enjoyed the RI Xmas lecture last night.

What are you all doing to get through the days and nights?

Day 4 for me. I got up, ate, then had a nap. I tidied my bedside cabinet, then had lunch, and then another nap.
Started to read… had another nap…
Cooked some frozen pizzas and then had another nap…

Also, the next series of cobra Kai is on tomorrow so that is my plan for tomorrow (If I can keep my eyes open)

When I had delta I cleaned and organised my kitchen and utility cupboards, went through all my clothes etc

The better I got I would do a mini workout so I could keep my fitness

I’ve got two pre-schoolers so unfortunately for me, laying in bed convalescing is not really an option. Thankfully DH has been trying to take them out when it’s not raining. I’ve had lots of plans to clean/tidy/organise but severely lacking in motivation! So mainly I’ve been laying in bed watching Netflix (when the kids go out).
Feeling quite sad to be spending my festive week off work like this Sad

I've just worked throughout, taking time off is not really an option so I've been trying to look after DC and take any breaks to work on my laptop.

I was quite sick w COVID during the first wave and found audiobooks a godsend- you dont even have to open your eyes as you listen.

Day 2 for me can’t concentrate on anything but I’m resting watching Sex and the City.

Have been messaging friends and tommorow I’m going to declutter the kitchen cupboards if I have the energy.

Hope I sleep tonight I couldn’t last night as I was just too hot. Is anyone else struggling to sleep at night ?

Long baths

I live alone and I'm on day 6 - so bored. I've felt really quite ill, but also can't sleep and can't really concentrate to read or watch anything. Have tried audiobooks and podcasts.

Feeling very nauseous on and off so not done much beyond lying about and messaging people. Have high hopes of feeling better and having a big declutter which was my plan for being off work before covid ruined it!

Day 7 here with a 5 year old and 2 year old so no chance to rest and relax. Mainly just trying to save the energy to feed and spend a bit of time with the children. Managed a walk today (round our own field) and sat and watched them play outside for an hour. They've had far too much screen time and some days we haven't even got dressed but so far Iv managed a balance between keeping them happy and chilling on the sofa under a blanket! Healing thoughts to all
