Arguments amongst friends over the vaccine

Is anyone else's friendship group starting to see a divide regarding the vaccine ?
I've noticed it between my close friend circle. Out of 10 of us only 4 are vaccinated. The other 6 are dead against it for their own beliefs. Which is fine. But it's really starting to bubble over recently I've noticed. I'm worrying that this is just the beginning for a massive divide in society. Being labelled a sheep and worse than the government for being vaccinated... or that anyone who has had Pfizer will be dead within 3 years.

It's got to the point I don't want to tell anyone I've got my booster booked in!!

Oops, apologies, I posted too quickly:

@XenoBitch

The vast majority of people who catch Covid do not need hospital treatment at all. The strain on the NHS at the moment is not because of people who are not vaccinated.

So what is causing the strain then please?

I would like to make clear that out of my unvaccinated friends they're not all outspoken, about three of them keep quiet and don't mention it when it's brought up (it's always on WhatsApp) it is only one who is the main instigator and a couple of others may back him up.
For example one of them has Covid atm and claims they should be in intensive care according to some people with their existing health conditions and then it will start from there with the sarcastic comments etc

So what is causing the strain then, please?

I'm told it's ....

  • staff shortages (for many reasons, including many have to isolate due to being SARS-CoV-2 positive, not due to being ill)
  • shift in staff duties to try to deal with enormous waiting lists for "urgent" & "routine" treatment
  • Bed blocking -- peak shortage in social care packages & nursing/rehab/hospice residential care home space shortage

What is the excess death rate doing -- is it recently above long term average for some age groups? I have impression that people with chronic diseases are succombing to those illnesses, or their problems have escalated from routine to urgent to critical due to lack of preventive medicine/management for last 2 years

Not so far as we're all vaccinated. However I've decided that I won't have another booster for at least a year. I don't plan to tell anyone but will be honest if I'm asked so I don't know how that will be taken.

The 7 day isolation rule!
