Anyone Covid after booster ?

Anyone caught Covid a week after booster? How bad were your Covid symptoms? I see an very very very faint line on my LFT. Have taken 3 and the same very hardly visible faint line. Took me hours to actually book a test tomorrow. I feel fine. Slight runny nose but nothing else. Just wondered if the booster minimises symptoms or whether I would most likely be in bed if I had Covid?!

My dh got a positive LFT today
Only symptom is a snotty nose which he often has anyway.
He feels fine and was shocked when the 2nd line appeared

My friend has it and had her booster 1 month ago. By all accounts she's fine. Had a very slight sore throat and a bit tired but otherwise she's fine.

Thanks. I had my booster nearly 2 weeks ago. It’s baffling me as I’ve been very cautious with masks etc. The lines are so faint you could miss it. Slight runny nose today no temperature or nothing else

Booster on the 17th, positive precautionary LFT(family lunch, obvs cancelled) & follow up PCR on Christmas day, so 8 days later. Very slight sore nose/throat, like the beginning of a cold, which never came to anything, on Sunday/Monday, plus quite a bit of sneezing. Feel completely normal today. No temperature, no cough to speak of. I really would have thought it was a very slight cold if it weren't for the positive test.

I would have thought I picked it up before the booster had time to take effect so maybe it's mild for me anyway.

A number of dd’s friend’s parents have it post booster at the moment, after it has had time to take effect. Mild for most but one friend is feeling quite unwell still 5 days in.

I had my booster in November, had a positive LFT on 22/12, a PCR later that day and a positive result from that on 24/12.

I've felt really quite unwell, normal cold symptoms but also a very tight and heavy chest. I'm now very tired but the other symptoms have largely gone. Very thankful I'd been triple vaxxed, my symptoms gave me an idea of how bad it would have been had I not.

I got my first and only covid symptom (loss of taste) exactly a week after my booster. It came back in a week. No other symptoms.

LostForWords2021 · 29/12/2021 19:44

I'm all jabbed up and positive. It feels like a cold, no appetite or energy. I wouldn't fancy trying to function at work right now, they have been fan and accepted I'm awol isolating.

Yes, I had it after my booster. Had 2 days of feeling really awful (flu like symptoms), could barely lift my head off the pillow, followed by 3-4 days of general cold like symptoms. Still feeling quite fatigued 2 weeks on but not too horrific.
I also had it before any vaccines and was just mildly snotty for a couple of days.

I’m pretty sure DH picked up Covid at his booster appointment - it was the only place we went in the lead up to Christmas as we were being careful Sad he was jabbed on the Friday and tested positive 3 days later. We were braced for the worst as I figured it was too early for any protection to have kicked in but as it was it was just a cold for him and DD and I never tested positive Smile. He and I both said in pre Covid times it was the kind of cold he’d have absolutely gone to work with - just a stuffy nose really!

kerkyra · 29/12/2021 20:05

I got my booster two weeks ago today.Had some mid side effects like feeling hot and dizzy and tired/ seasick sort of nausea which went on for a week. Christmas eve I felt shattered and put it down to the stress of time of year and the same for the 25th,I'd had a lft each day all saying negative,by boxing day I had a temperature so had a pcr test on Monday which was positive.

RickyZooom · 29/12/2021 20:13

I tested positive 5 days after my booster. Now 4 days into Covid. Like a cold for me so far. Like pp said - I’d probably have struggled until work pre Covid (definitely wouldn’t have stayed at home for a week for it!).

My dad has. He had his booster 3 months ago and tested positive yesterday.

Kazziek · 29/12/2021 21:03

DH is positive 2 months after his booster, along with my DB and SIL, plus a whole load of my friends (all got it in different places). I don't think these vaccines are very good! Every other vaccine I've ever had has been designed to ensure I don't get the illness in question
