on 23rd me, DH and DD (1) all came down with cold/covid symptoms. Slightly different in each of us. Did LFTs - DH pos, mine negative. Did PCRs on 24th and got results back yesterday - DH pos, mine still negative. Did LFT again today - now DH's is negative and mine is positive!

Was I positive all along but it just didn't show up? Or did I have a cold and then caught covid from DH immediately after?

And, importantly, having cancelled all our christmas celebrations- which, if either of us, can leave the house, and when! DH after his 10 days from 23rd (we're in Wales), so 2nd Jan? I went to the shop to get food and medicine yesterday, given that I'd had 1 negative PCR and 3 negative LTRs. I've now booked in for another PCR tonight, if it does come back positive does my isolation now start from
a) 23rd when I first had symptoms (in which case I've unintentionally broken it)
b) today when I first tested positive??

I think you need to count your 10 days from today. You might have had a cold before. Haven’t Test and Trace advised your DH? I have been bombarded with information after testing positive.
