PCR as close contact?

Hi. I had a call yesterday to tell me that I was a close contact of someone who has tested positive. I thought I was advised to get a PCR under those circumstances but when I went online to book, it only said close contacts with symptoms. I have no symptoms and negative LFTs.
Am I supposed to just do the LFT for 7 days now? I remember hearing about a change a short while ago but thought PCR was still advised too.

It's just LFTs unless you develop symptoms, I was a close contact last week and had a text about it.

I was a close contact last week. I wasn't contacted by T&T thankfully but I just did LFTs for a week.

I think you get let off a PCR if you have had 2 vaccine doses.

I've just booked pcrs as close contacts without symptoms. I ticked no symptoms then close contact.

I could be wrong but is it not different depending on which country in the uk you are in ?

Yes, it’s recently changed to 7 days of lfts instead of a pcr.
