I’ve recently tested positive and have been contacted by T&T. Can someone please tell me what info I will need to fill in, and how detailed I need to be? It’s my first time of testing positive so not sure what I’ll be expected to tell them.
Is it a legal obligation to fill the form out? I’ve already told everyone I’ve seen recently anyway, not sure I want them hounded by T&T now too.

I didn’t have to fill out a form. They rang me once and that was that.

I put in the main people and places I’d been. So the tube, one friend I sat opposite and had coffee with, one shop I spent a long time in, one restaurant. Didn’t name every shop and pub, or people I spoke to in passing, as didn’t see the point (and it would take hours).

Have had nothing from T&T apart from a couple of texts / emails. It seems to be mostly health advice, rather than being hounded.

For the dc's I had 1 call where I gave the info. 1 call per child, they tested positive on different days.
For me, I did an online form after being sent a text. No call at all.
The expectation was that you inform your close contacts. We were never subjected to loads of calls.

I am wondering about this too.

Do the online form. I barely filled mine in, and I've not been contacted by track & trace. My dp on the other hand, was sent a faulty link and couldn't do it online and has been hounded daily and told they won't stop calling until he registers 2 negative lfts, even though he's on day 11 now, they're still calling.

They asked about who DS had been in contact with and where the contact had happened (indoors) over the previous three days to symptoms starting.
They asked about who he’d been in contact with 3-7 days before his symptoms started - they were trying to trace back where he may have been infected.
Discussed the vaccination status/ages of other household members and whether we needed to isolate.

The T&T call was the weekend before Christmas, it took about half an hour. I received a couple of texts on DS’s behalf just reminding us to isolate (it’s the law) unless exempt.

And I think that was it.

With dd1 the only question they asked was whether she'd been to any events 🤷‍♀️ which school she went to and if we knew where she'd caught it.
No follow up calls or anything, in fact guy on the phone said no one else would call.
