Multiple negative lft’s but symptoms?

I work in a supermarket where many staff have tested positive for covid recently. I worked closely with 3 people on the 23rd and 24th who have since tested positive.
I woke very early this morning with a really sore throat and bad headache. My sore throat went away after around an hour and headache hasn’t been bad. Sore throat came back this evening for a while but now is more of a very dry throat/scratchy feeling which is making me cough slightly.
I have done 3 lft’s throughout the day and all have come back negative. I have now booked a pcr for tomorrow morning just incase.
I have had both jabs plus booster and had covid previously in march.
I imagine my chances are pretty high after working with others who have it but the lft’s are making me question it. Anyone else had covid recently and had similar symptoms to me? I am wondering if it’s either mild due to being triple jabbed or if it’s different because it’s the omicron variant or I guess it could be something else completely.

Not recently but in the same boat. Feel absolutely horrendous, like I’ve been hit by a bus. DD has a sore head and fever too. Both of us are returning negative LFDs! Can’t get a PCR here for love nor money 🙄

I had a thumping headache a few days. That plus a little off.

Numerous LFTs negative and negative PCR.

I’m unvacced by I don’t know if that makes a difference

I heard there were problems with people booking tests today, I’m in South Yorkshire and have just booked in for tomorrow, it said my local testing centre which luckily is just around the corner had over 500 available tomorrow but I don’t think I’m in a high rate area (except my work where we are dropping like flies). I don’t feel ill and have been holding off all day to see how I feel but I’m due to be in work tomorrow and felt I couldn’t risk it so better to be safe and book a pcr. Hope you manage to get one soon x

I messaged my boss who tested positive to ask his symptoms, he said he was just sneezing a lot so was surprised by the positive result. His wife has had a sore throat/headache and her test was negative so there is possibly something else going around that’s giving these symptoms

Yes - my partner has same symptoms as you. Negative LFTs but PCR was positive.

I had 3 -LFTs then a +PCR. Test and Trace lady told me I can be out of isolation once my temperature is gone and I have 2 -LFTs 24 hours a part. I pointed out I've never had a temperature or a +LFT, but them's the rules

I have had a cold with sore throat and headache and negative pcr and LFT. Remember that although one in two “colds” turn out to be covid that means one in two is not.

It's winter - other viruses are available. I've had something awful for a few weeks now with consistently negative LFTs and PCR's, Ditto both DC's. But then it's entirely normal for us all to come down with something for Xmas. When I was a child my DSM would comment that it wasn't Xmas if I didn't have a stinking cold.

@Itonlytakesonetree two negative PCRs on day 6 and 7 to come out of iso on day 8.

I had my third bout of covid a couple of weeks back, all negative LFTs but pos PVR. Just felt run down, only did the OCR to pacify work!!

I have felt awful for 2 weeks now. All the same symptoms that you describe. Plus quite a bad cough and chest pains. I have lost count of how many LFTs I have done. Plus a PCR. All negative

There is a horrible cold bug going around that starts with sorry throat, headache runny nose etc..... then gets worse and worse over the next few days till you are wiped out. 2 pcrs and 14 lfts all negative.

I feel like absolute shite and have done all over Xmas. Worst day has been today though.

Once you have symptoms LFTs aren't to be used.

Same symptoms anc negative LFT/ positive PCR.

Still waiting on my test results, with previous pcr’s they have always come through early hours of the next morning so thought I might have woken up to them. I still don’t feel too bad, sore throat is more scratchy and dry than sore now but I have had a constant lower back ache since yesterday afternoon. Hope anyone else waiting on results gets them quickly

DH and I had very mild symptoms on the run up to Christmas. Sore throat, runny nose and tickle cough but we had just had booster and both had Delta at the beginning of September. We were isolating on the run up to Xmas in order to visit INLAWS briefly.
Did a few lfts but all negative so if it was mild omicron then we probably were low risk. We have had a very quiet Christmas and it would be great if it was omicron since it would further boost our immunity.
We had original in early 2020 so are confident that we’ve survived it at least twice.

If our immune systems are clearing Covid quickly there may be a very small window of opportunity to test positive with either LFT or PCR particularly if triple vaxxed. This may be why it is spreading so rapidly.

We’ve got the other bug doing the rounds too, high temp, raw. swollen, dry, itchy throat. Headache, nausea, dizziness. Tickle cough. Persistent negatives on PCR and LFT. Hope you feel better soon op.

I’ve had a really heavy cold the past two weeks. Many negative LFTs and 2 negative PCRs. Other bugs are available.

I had same symptoms, had PCR test Christmas Eve. Just starting to feel better now after 1 week.

I’m on day 6 of a horrible cold. Covid symptoms, but negative PCR. Was due to go back to work tomorrow, but have already told my boss I’m too ill - my ears are thumping with congestion and I can’t think straight. Woke in night with swollen throat. Teeth hurt with sinus pain. Nose still blocked. So fed up 😞
