Old style tests

Has any one tested positive recently on the really old style tests, the throat and nose ones?

I'm currently having to use the innova ones.
I've felt a bit rubbish for a few days. Tested on Christmas Day before going to parents and got a negative result but I've woken up about 2am sweating so much I've had to change pjs, ear ache, achy collar bones, sneezing, I was having nose bleeds last night, I've now got a cough and to top it off my arm is hurting where I've had the covid jabs...even though that was months ago.

These tests are coming back negative though and I know there is other bugs about but I'd hate to think I had it and spread it about by going out. Any one had similar symptoms?

Yes. I did a day after my PCR because I hadn't had a result of the PCR and wanted to know for sure. Both were positive. Why don't you go for a PCR test if you have symptoms? The LFT I took in the day of my PCR was negative. Second, positive LFT was next day.

@shortandsweet1 I'll have to do a postal PCR so will order one. Im feeling absolutely awful now, much worse than 2 hours ago. Pain killers aren't helping and I can barley speak

Sorry you're feeling ill. Definitely get a PCR sorted- you've got Covid symptoms ie a cough and possibly fever if you're sweating that much. Even if not, a cough which is obviously some sort of bug rather than just clearing throat needs testing. LFTs aren't for symptoms they're just for general screening if you're well. Have you taken both paracetamol and ibuprofen? Plenty of fluids?

@CupCalamity I can't take ibruprofen or I'm not supposed too. I will order a PCR though.
